I am spending a lot of time tilling my garden soil and planting seeds and starts. It is great and my body is also being strengthened by the high nutritional value of the fresh-picked osaka, kale and chard I am harvesting to eat right now. As a naturopathic doctor, I recommend tending a garden as a healing modality that benefits body, mind and spirit.

Barbara Kingsolver’s book, “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” is the best book I have ever read and it inspired me to grow and preserve most of the produce I ate this year. Her website link is here. I highly recommend it!
